CBS News recently reported on a growing sector of startups offering “generative ghosts.” These are AI chatbots trained on a dead person’s emails, photos, social media posts, and voice recordings, so that family and friends can keep talking with them after they’re gone.

Black Mirror did it first. Well, I'm not sure if no one else did it before them. Anyway, Black Mirror did it before the real world, in any case.
I heard they were going to use AI to give Jesus a voice you could chat with. Now I think that's an interesting idea. Or really any character in a book. Not trying to say Jesus is fictional, but as an Atheist, I don't see the distinction between chatbot Jesus and chatbot Gandalf, especially if the LLM has gone through all the source material, and possibly has an option to use extended universe (e.g. fan fiction), giving more weight to stories which lean into canon... obviously these would be less reliable, but would give the chatbot more context with which to view the world.
