Paying company to download digital bytes - not owning, not stealing.

Downloading same digital bytes for free - not owning, but stealing?

🤔??wtf???

The rules are made up to best funnel all of the money into the maws of the Epstein class. Anything that prevents that is a crime.

Everything is becoming rent now seems capitalism is currently set on eliminating personal ownership for the proletariat.

Makes me proud to have 100's of terabytes of seeded copywrited material. Hope to get that up to petabytes soon

I wish my torrent client showed the combined total but with the amount that are left seeding I'm sure it's hella high but not quite to petabyes yet, dozens and dozen of terabytes for sure.

When Windows XP required activation by phoning home to Microsoft, we said it was going to end badly. (In fact, we were so sure that software engineers regularly kept Windows Loader, which bypassed activation, up to date, and followed up with windows 7 and 8)

I made the mistake of starting an account with the Stardock digital distribution platform, and buying some games on it. Once I had a sizeable library, Stardock sold the service to Gamestop, who failed to maintain it and closed it, and I lost the whole library.

To this day, I resent both companies for that.

Companies have always done everything they can to take as much as we'll let them and give as little as we'll let them. Then they realized that they can just put out "educational" videos that specifically train us to let them take as much as they want and give as little as possible.
