The thing is that plug in solar only works when the grid is available, when it senses that the grid has shut off, it disconnects as well to avoid backfeeding and harming workers or feeding a fault. A battery that can only be connected when the power is on has no point. If it were to work, it would somehow need to be able to trip the main breaker when it powers on and lock it out until the battery is disconnected. It won't be as simple as just "plug it into the wall and get power"
