Welp

I go on one tiny community every day to learn of local news. Guess this is it.

All hail ditching Reddit, but if that sub's important enough, there are proxy sites for Instagram, Twitter and others. Might be worth a look to see if there's one for the evil empire.

Ive been pushing as much as i can to the fediverse version of the subreddit. But its basically just like three people posting. It can be tiring sometimes. But thats like 1 more person since last year 😁.

Your subscribed list looks microscopic, which is weird since you're a PF user. In the usual signup process you're asked about your likes, and then you'll be automatically signed up to dozens of communities based on what you chose.

Did you skip that step? If so, it might be worth signing up again.

Your personal stream looks like nothing but two feeds right now, or am I missing something?

Where do you see the subscribed list? Also naa im good, ive been part of piefed for a couple of years now.

Right on your profile. All I'm seeing are two feeds for you:

  • SmallWeb
  • Fediverse Videos

On my personal wall I probably get 3-4 dozen new posts per day, so I'm struggling to understand what's up with yours that you barely see any?

mesamunefire@piefed.social · 3 pts · 23d (3 replies)

Those are the ones i created. Im the author of those feeds.

How many active communities would you say are combined in those feeds?

mesamunefire@piefed.social · 2 pts · 23d

Little less than a hundred different channels and communities. Ive been trying to get a curated list of fedi channels/creators/ect and have piefed auto pull those resources. Its worked out well to reduce the need to activly post foa given community.

safereddit.com/r/whatever the name of said subreddit is

for now the various safereddit instances still work. only issue you'll have with that is video can lag but you have to cut the people who run these instances some slack, in fact a lot of slack, as they have to CONSTANTLY update.
