Having a billion dollars changes people for the worst

GalacticSushi@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 11 pts · 23d

Which is crazy. You have billions. You can do anything you want. You can ignore the stresses of life and just pursue your passions and loves. There is absolutely nothing stopping you from just being a happy person other than yourself, but instead people just morph into the most loathsome trolls imaginable and dedicate their life to hyper fixating on marginalized groups to hate.

Is this pro or against trans people? Looks like the trans family make a skull

Seimhe@lemmy.world · 27 pts · 23d

I see the trans umbrella protecting the family from Britain, which makes sense.

Maxxie@piefed.blahaj.zone · 4 pts · 23d (1 reply)

can't have trans people without skulls. prove me wrong.

GalacticSushi@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 2 pts · 23d

I'm not an expert on skulls, but I can't shake the feeling that I'd be having a very bad time in life if I no longer had one.

Back in my day (1952), the uk government was forcing people that were amab to take oestrogen

Chubbypunk@troet.cafe · 2 pts · 24d (8 replies)

@Quokka isnā€˜t it a bit too binary?

Quokka@quokk.au · 9 pts · 23d

I could see that. But also isn’t it non-nonbinary to assume the people aren’t enbys in say dresses?

But yeah it could be made without the gendered clothing stick figures. I might make my own version one day, without the skull/vader thing people are seeing.

This feels very binary-phobic to me. People can make art that reflects the binary trans identities. There are any number of artists out there that make art of people that are unambiguously nonbinary. Tumblr is full of people making art of trans women proudly rocking beards. And that's fine. People make art that reflects their experiences, and there's nothing wrong with that. It would be rude of me as binary trans person to tell them they have to include binary trans people in all their art. It would be rude of me as a white person to tell a black artist they have to include white people in all their drawings.

Not every piece of artwork has to represent all people. Sometimes art will represent all sides of the trans community, sometimes trans artists will want to make art that reflects just their own lived experiences. It's binary-phobic and invalidating to say that binary trans people aren't allowed to create art that represents them. I don't know if the artist themselves is a binary trans person, but it would make a lot of sense if that were the case. We're all trans here, but people can make art that reflects their own individual experiences of being trans.

@isleepinahammock this is too symbolic to be ā€žjust artā€œ.

Btw. It would be nice just to feel heard.
you don’t give me this feeling.
Feels more than a bite.

isleepinahammock@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 2 pts · 22d

Imagine if I told you, "Your comment feels a little too non binary."

Do you not see the problem with language like that?

Chubbypunk@troet.cafe · 1 pts · 22d

@isleepinahammock

And: welcome, troll.

If you make non binary art you won't see us complaining, but everything can't always be about everything.

If you feel attacked by this, I don't think you are ā¤ļø. Stay safe!

I_Has_A_Hat@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 23d (1 reply)

Uhg, I know. So upsetting that they left out representation of non-binary, 2-spirit, asexual, black Asians with cleft pallets and dwarfism. When will people stop being so against inclusion?!

Chubbypunk@troet.cafe · 1 pts · 22d

@I_Has_A_Hat smells assholish here…
