Sen. Mark Kelly says Trump administration is "flailing" in Iran and "has to try to figure out a way out of this"

No matter what Trump does, it won't put the strait back in the status (in terms of freedom of navigation) it was in before Trump attacked. Iran fully controls it now and can impose whatever restrictions it wants, and there is nothing the US can do about it.

To be clear, packing up and going home is absolutely the correct thing to do, regardless. But even that is not "a way out" of the consequences because there is no "way out" of the consequences. Trump's damage is permanent and unfixable.

I think he's only holding off the ground invasion until after the mid-terms. Not because it would work, mind you, but because that bald zombie fuck, kegsbreath, and the other yes-man goons tell him it's a good idea.

They know ground troops now would fuck them in the mid-terms, but they're itching to do it. When it turns into another Iraq/Afghanistan he won't be around long enough to care. All of them will be focused on fucking up everything they can before they take the money and run.
