What do you think of the violence in America? Police brutality and the surveillance state?

I watch your news and it is nothing like the USA. Also I am missing something what outlets or channels do you use to keep track of your countries.

CBC for news for the most part. Cross check with others like the National Post or the Globe and Mail. Trust none of them, of course!

What's happening in the US is just straight up crazy and saddening. I live near the border...adds an extra later of uncertainty.

Honestly, the US looks like absolute madness for a lot of us. I have friends and family in the US and I am terrified for their safety every day. I don't blame all Americans, obviously, but there's a lot of deeply sick and deeply deranged people down there and it makes me furious watching their bloodbath leak over the border into my country.

The violence in the USA is one of the many reasons why I don't expect to ever travel there again.
