This is horseshit. The people running the software system are responsible for it.
When worms or viruses got out accidentally in the past, the authors were liable.
I'm sick of these companies laughing off felonies.

Either the knew about the hacks or they did not, in which case they did not do their due dilligence

tesla cars have been murdering people without consequences while their pre-alpha builds "learn", for half a decade. anthropic and openAI aren't going to face any consequences.
