Nazi salutes, swastikas, SS emblems... Le Monde's video investigation team identified several hundred of them, displayed by Ukrainian soldiers on social media. Among the 350 soldiers identified, 200 are members of the 3rd Assault Brigade, one of the spearhead units of the Ukrainian army.
Heir to the Azov Regiment, founded in 2014 by far-right extremists and which gained great notoriety for its role in the fierce defense of the city of Mariupol, the 3rd Assault Brigade had nonetheless promised to clean up its image.
A full-fledged unit of the Ukrainian army, this brigade benefits from military training provided by Western countries, including France.

I'm surprised Le Monde is putting out a video like this at all.
Is there any info on how much power the nazis in Ukraine actually have?
The 2023 verdict in the maidan trial confirmed the snipers were affiliated with the Svoboda party. And the third assault brigade and many others displaying nazi symbols is power in itself. So even if the nazi parties only get 2% in elections, they have real military power. Another indication of this is that Zelensky recently had to "bend the knee" and rebury Andriy Melnyk with state honors. So it's not nothing in terms of power.
