BLUE no matter WHO! I'm LEAVING!

-James Carville!

I sure care what an 81 year old who hasn't been relevant since the 90s has to say about the future of a party that he won't be there to see

Ok, bye? Seriously—I have The Hill open in a tab on my work laptop (because it’s work related) and I keep seeing him throwing tantrums, and think, “Who cares what you think?”

Good riddance.

SaltyAmerican@lemmy.world · 25 pts · 27d

He's largely responsible for the DNC sharp turn to the right under Clinton with 3rd way Democrats and the DLC

This is the greatest endorsement of Hasan I've ever seen. And I'm not in any way a Hasan fan.

Tolookah@discuss.tchncs.de · 19 pts · 27d

A majority of Democrats agree he should leave?

Astronut@lemmy.zip · 17 pts · 27d

Well bye bye then!

SpruceBringsteen@lemmy.world · 15 pts · 27d

Why are we giving anything from Fox News attention?

CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world · 14 pts · 27d (3 replies)

I find Hasan to be a bit annoying at times, but also - when was the last time Carville was relevant?

assembly@lemmy.world · 15 pts · 27d (2 replies)

Or even right about anything. I have seen his interviews on CNN for the past 20 years and his predictions and strategies have consistently been shit. I still don’t understand why he gets so much air time. Maybe he’s a holdover from the boomers or something but I’ve never understood why he was relevant. As a strategist, he hasn’t exactly crushed it against the worst major political party in (possibly) US history.

Skyrmir@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 27d

He won against the 90's GoP because there were still a few moderate republicans that hadn't learned that the party had gone full fascist. Since then the DLC has been a big money cow for the Dems, so they kept him around. Same reason Pelosi was house leader for so long, she brought in the funding fire hose, so she got the top spot.

I still don’t understand why he gets so much air time.

Usually in cases like that, it's because the person is saying what the oligarchs want to be true.

kescusay@lemmy.world · 13 pts · 27d

Oh no! Anyway...

EntheoNaut@lemmy.ml · 13 pts · 27d

Dude is getting old, hardly relevant and barely able to communicate clearly.

The old guard is dying out, this is not a threat as much as last wish and grasp at legacy.

bitjunkie@lemmy.world · 11 pts · 27d

Don't let the door hit you in the ass, Jimbo

RizzRustbolt@lemmy.world · 10 pts · 27d

the_riviera_kid@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 27d

Thanks, Mr. Wonka

phutatorius@lemmy.zip · 7 pts · 27d

Win/win.

Not a big win, since I find Hasan abrasive. But Carville fucking off would be a very good thing.

Jaysyn@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 27d

Good, fuck off.

oozynozh@sh.itjust.works · 5 pts · 27d

just feeding Fox News their Democratic Civil War talking points... what a tool

hoppeduponcoffee@lemmy.zip · 5 pts · 27d

Good riddance!

Tm12@lemmy.ca · 3 pts · 27d

The suits weren’t enough for Carville?

GreenBeard@lemmy.ca · 1 pts · 27d

Promises promises. Don't threaten me with a good time James.

ExLisper@lemmy.curiana.net · 1 pts · 27d
