President Donald Trump declared an 'emergency' to block the release of his financial records to the BBC one day before a court-ordered deadline.

The BBC sought the financial information after Trump sued the company for $10 billion over its January 6 coverage. The records at issue belong to the Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust — a trust bearing his name that controls roughly 400 of his business entities.

His own complaint claimed the broadcast harmed "the value of his brand, properties, and businesses" — language Lett said opened the door to the subpoena.

"Considering the Trust's relationship to Plaintiff's alleged damages," Lett wrote, "the information the Trust possesses is relevant and material to any damages analysis…"

Absolutely true and perfectly reasonable. How could this order by the judge not have been foreseen? The charge for damages that President Pedophile is suing BBC for are a large $10B, so it's only fair that BBC can review the evidence. This is the purpose of the discovery phase in courts.

A trial is set for February 2027, and the BBC is also seeking to question Trump under oath, according to court filings.

Nice - get that pedophile under oath. He can choke and gag on it, because he can't handle BBC.

I feel like there's no good faith reason for anyone to have 400 "business entities". You should be capped at like, 12, and even that feels generous.
