I really appreciate all of the hard work that went into building the site and all of the documentation, it requires JS and therefore doesn't work in eww? That seems like a weird decision.

Just use the info pages, the site is just a reskinning of those.

True, but site-wide search is nice, and afaik, you there isn't anything like that in info.
