Vase, JRC, 2026. This is my first 3D model. Previously I only used the sculpting workspace in blender, now I am learning the basics of 3D hard surface models.
Learning quite well. I am happy with this result today. This is the beginning of something swell.
If you are early on in learning blender I would recommend putting many of your subdivision surface modifiers on the render only and working with the less divided surface. The performance benefit is insane and the actual render can take all night if it has to without slowing your progress.
Looks great so far, have you tried the Donut tutorial? Absolutely awesome.
I didn't use any modifiers. I am still new. I am starting from the basics and moving my way up to them. So far I am just using tools available in edit mode.
Ah, great, I would recommend looking at the donut tutorial to get a sense of the whole system of blender. Also, you'll have a cool donut wallpaper at the end of it.
I didn't use modifiers. I still have yet to learn what they all do. If you know of a video that covers them all, let me know. I used to only use like three modifiers when I learned blender in sculpt mode. This is just me learning basic hard surface modeling--something I neglected to learn over the years.
Edit: I only used tool such as scale, extrude and inset to make this. And the shade smooth feature.
You can similar effect if you use a vertex and extrue along the profile and add the screw modifier to it and you can get a vase shape easy. Down side is you get some weird topo at points at the center.

I have to dig around for a video.
