You need to first off raise your standards for working conditions for yourself, then you need to show solidarity.
No pride can come from telling people how much your boss abuses you.

If you work all day in high temps, you're accustomed to it. It happens pretty fast if you're out in the heat all day, at least for me, before I got pots anyway.
