Imagine degrading the real lived experiences of women by comparing those women to racists.
On top the race analogy doesn’t even make sense. Women are worried about which men because the biological differences in strength and muscle mass is immense. The average man can easily physically overpower the average woman.
There isn’t any particular “racial” “advantage” that would cause men of one ethnicity to inherently fear another ethnicity. Unless one of those men is really into physical fitness, two men of different ethnic backgrounds will be roughly equal in physical capability.
The only cause of such racial “concern” is prejudice and ignorance. No excuse.
You have it mostly backwards. XML has like 40+ types that are all standardized. JSON only has the basic JS types. XML is a superset of JSON when it comes to types.
How would you represent a double float, or binary data, or a datatime in JSON. You would have to use strings in JSON. In XML you would use the xsd:double, xsd:binary, and xsd:dateTime.
JSON only works if you think in JavaScript. For languages with more complete / complex data systems it does not do unless you resort to the string thing.
As for validation I think “right tool for the right job” is the best approach here. How do you know your validator is validating correctly? That’s the beauty of XML. Validation is part of the spec. XML is more complicated, but only because it’s more capable than json. Just like protobuf is more complicated than JSON. It’s also more complicated and not centered on JSON types.
I’m gunna disagree with you XML comes with validators and versioning as part of the XML spec. You can validate XML files against XSD descriptors that can be published and even referenced by the XML file.
The only downside of XML over json is that XML is verbose AF.
Strict validators, versioning, checking, and definitions is EXACTLY what you want in a storage format.
Hot take. Nextcloud is hot garbage. If you want file sync use Seafile. So so so so much faster and more resource efficient. For the rest of next cloud functionality just use a tool specific to that.
Nextcloud is still tied to the old php/fpm model. There are better approaches now days. Hell even owncloud is rewriting away from the php/fpm approach.
I mean this in the most caring way I can. That way you describe things reminds me of an ex I had that had suicidal thoughts and tendencies.
I’m not saying your case is similar, but staying alive just because there is a feeling of letting people down if you don’t, was a red flag that helped my ex get into therapy and eventually a medication that improved their life.
Just a thought. Healthy brains don’t generally don’t wish for death, only holding back due to guilt. In the case of my ex it was a chemical imbalance that was able to be fixed.
Again not saying this is the case for you. But the way you talk here really reminded me of some important talks I had with someone going through a very particular mental health situation.
Complete side note. I haven’t seen you around much. Do you still believe that voting for Kamala / harm reduction would be immoral?
Edit:
I saw the downvote, and I saw the upvote after I added this edit. It’s fine. The people of Cuba, Venezuela, Palestine, Iran, Ukraine, Greenland, and the world I think can be definitively be said would have been better off with harm reduction.
But at the time the concept of a hero shooter didn’t really exist. You had things like dota and league of legends. You also had things like cs go. All of which were not really hero shooters. Team fortress was closer but it was just cs go with humor and abilities added across 5? Characters. Not the modern select from X champs across 12 genres that the modern hero shooter has.
Overwatch really was the popular birth of the hero shooter.
The idea at the time was you could play your call of duty hero vs a western hero for the first time while a player playing a turret building hero prepped the area.
The tropes were tropes but it was a unique at the time arrangement.
It was balanced in my experience. Other teamhad a niche hard to kill set up? Your team reacts by changing what hero’s you use. There was always something that would work. No set of 6 would be perfect vs all other possible sets of 6.
The OG one time purchase version of Overwatch 1 was top tier in my book. 40 USD got me a game that I got hundreds of hours out of. Maybe thousands.
Rereleasing Overwatch as Overwatch 2 was just bilizzard realizing they didn’t want to miss the live service boat. They microtransactioned and season passed the crap out of the game and re released it again while shutting down the original.
Foxcom assembles sub models into complete products. Still higher than slave labor level skills, but not as high as chip fabrication I admit. You need a skill base to assemble phones at a high level.

Alternative (and direct source that SCMP is referencing)

We don’t need to go threw SCMP in when we can go directly to the source. I’d say the same for Voice of America.
The “Funny old times” title really reminds me of those boomer bot run facebook groups. The bots are now targeting a younger group.

ODF is also XML. It makes sense here.

Personally speaking I’d rather live with a chance of proving my innocence than die. I suspect most people would feel the same.
Exactly. Last I saw we where approaching 1000qbits in 2023.
You need to first off raise your standards for working conditions for yourself, then you need to show solidarity.
No pride can come from telling people how much your boss abuses you.
Do you get your kicks out of this? Why do you keep on making new accounts and trying to frame misogynistic tropes?
Huh. I was skeptical of “China speed” but they were right. Lol.

I’m just glad for lower ram prices.

China speed was even faster than you predicted. Lol.

Northern Germany, Netherlands, Denmark. I felt I was tall before moving to the area. Now I feel just below average.
True but that was last November. Now days (early aug 2026) the cheapest 8GB sodimm sticks are like 140 USD each.

I think this post would have been accurate a few years ago but like ram alone costs $300 now days. You really need 16GB minimum.
This all being said I still would vote for PC over PlayStation. You can do so much more.

They are making it from scratch. There are lots of sources but this is the first one I found. I assume they package it as well.
