I completely agree "we" need to fight back, I don't buy games from Epic, don't pre-order games, and don't buy games with kernel-level DRM. But then most every other gamer does, so my boycotts make almost zero difference.

Your stance matters more than you think. Every movement for change starts with individuals who refuse to accept the status quo, even when it feels like no one else is paying attention. By sticking to your principles, you’re not just making a personal statement; you’re helping to normalise the idea that ethical consumerism in gaming is possible and important.

History shows that collective change often begins with small, consistent actions by a few. Revolutions are started by a minority of the population, not the majority. Your choices might inspire others to question their own habits, or even encourage developers and publishers to take notice over time. And even if the impact isn’t immediate, you’re contributing to a culture that values integrity over convenience.

Don’t underestimate the power of your boycott. It’s not about the size of the wave you make right now, it’s about being part of the tide that eventually turns. Keep it up. I know I will.
