And yet the wait times are still insane. Make it make sense.

Factors such as AI-enabled revenue optimization tools and more use of behavioral health benefits will influence the increase [of healthcare costs], PwC noted.

Sounds like we have to cash in more behavioral health benefits because of money stress from healthcare costs. No shit.

Me...

I just hate going to the Dr. So I don't go unless I have too.

It also sucks that my local hospital group got bought out by a corrupt mega group and to get good care I have to drive 3 hrs away.

When you pay $8,000 a year for insurance, you can't afford to use it.

The_v@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 7d

Before my wife got a union job it cost us.

$15,600 for the insurance. I also put a other $7,200 into the HSA. Which we emptied that year and had a other $800 in out of pocket expenses (8,000k out of pocket max).

My total medical cost that year was 23,600.

Plus had a other $3k in dental and vision.

I did the math at the the end of the year figured I had spent 54% of my income that year on taxes medical.

HubertManne@piefed.social · 1 pts · 7d

im not surprised. there are definately things my wife and I have not gotten to. between the insurance denials making you spend vast amounts of time to deal with and the issues you do manage to deal with and the rest of life. your exhausted.
