Doesn‘t that violate the Maps TOS, since they didn‘t actually use the service? That‘s the reasoning all of those scummy corner shops use to delete reviews, no?

Well yeah, but this is the kind of review you want to leave up, as advertisement for the customers you actually want to show up at your shop.

To be fair, unless it was my only review, or dramatically brought down the star rating, leaving it on there is good publicity for better people.

Maps reviews are entirely unmoderated. I used to collect those reviews for a company I worked for and people would post ads for their own stuff, or profanity with no content of any kind. I would report it, and all of it stayed up.
