And yet, here we are: nearly everything we do is ideological in some fashion, willingly or not, aware, or not.
As Terry Eagleton wrote, "Ideology is like halitosis, it's always someone else's problem.
Mind you, he defines ideology as the way in which we participate in our own oppression. It's a little more refined than the definition being used here, which is actually closer to "creed".
I think Eagleton's definition is more useful.

Yeah, I think here it's more referring to the general vibe of isms. Defined things people follow or adhere to. Isms can't blanket a society because everyone has different ideas, needs, wants, priorities, beliefs, thoughts, etc. Democracy is a format for these to be heard so progress can be made with everyone involved, not just a single person's idea on how things should be.
I get it, but "ideologies" isn't very clear.

Yes. Try to understand things yourself and avoid adopting some else’s reductive slogan simply because it’s what feels right.
It is a difficult path, but the right and virtuous one…. just incredibly discouraged by society to the point of punishment
