This is so insanely ridiculous. They are barely ahead of open weight models. Maybe three or six months. Anyone that has tried Kimi K3 or Qwen 3.8 Max knows this. Kimi K3 is dominating in front-end work.

The only shot they have at being actually that valuable is if the US government prevents businesses from running anything else than OpenAI, Grok, Meta, or Anthropic.

Why just businesses? With that much money, these companies could lobby governments to declare open weight models with no guardrails as dangerous tools used by terrorists and force GPU manufacturers to block the models from running. Won't that be fun...
