My partner and I just got to Wroclaw, Poland. I'm at a little bar having a beer, and there's this little gnome statue nearby. Apparently, Wroclaw has over 1000 gnomes?! Apparently they're an homage to the Orange Alternative, which was an absurdist anti-authoritarian movement in the Stalinist era.
People keep coming by with tourist maps. Feels almost like a scavenger hunt. I'm really enjoying being out here.

Haha, totally. I definitely want to check out Papa Dwarf for the historical significance, but otherwise I actually really enjoy the experience of just stumbling upon them. Once you realize they're around, it's like you start finding a new one around every corner. I like it when cities surprise me, and this is a very good version of that.

that's great, enjoy! stumbling around is how i like to discover features of a city too, and the intricacy and sheer volume of those dwarves seems like they would really enhance that sort of urban wandering.
