You just leave a card everywhere?

Natanael@slrpnk.net · 12 pts · 27d (4 replies)

Why else is it called deposit card

xylol@leminal.space · 8 pts · 27d (3 replies)

We should invent a new thing, different cards if different amounts that you just leave with the cashier and they swap you a card of the remainder. So you dont have to deal with having to punch in your pin or if the network is down, more privacy focused

W-When you tap your card... You don't leave your card anywhere. You're never inserting it, so you don't need to remove it, so you can't leave it.

Some machines are still running old software that displays the insert and remove text even for tap transactions because they don't have up to date software to display correctly even though the back end for transactions works fine.

Ah that makes more sense

OldChicoAle@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 27d (2 replies)

Where did you get that?

xylol@leminal.space · 2 pts · 27d (1 reply)

Because it kept saying remove card but they left

OldChicoAle@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 26d

But they tapped. They never let go of the card
