Calm down. Shocking children like cattle is minimal force. They said some very unkind things about Dennis Prager and the Victims of Communism Foundation. We all agreed they were "crashing out".

Oh FFS, just put the shock collars on these kids, we know you want to.

They’ve been doing that to autistic kids for decades: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judge_Rotenberg_Center

I’m sorry, I didn’t post it to scare anyone. I don’t think you’re wrong to be concerned if these gloves were to be rolled out in your son’s school district.

I expect an uproar from the conservative right who is all about protecting children I'm told. Any minute now.

The police as a whole will abuse the tools they're given. So giving them tools like this should be seen as abusive in the first place.
It is an abuse of power. Resourcing the police to be more violent in an already violent system, is an abuse of power conducted against all citizens

I hope they hurt themselves with them. I hope they hurt themselves a lot.

Statistically, quite a lot of them do. I mean, what if we see my reverie of children ripping cops apart with office supplies become a reality? What will that do, combined? Americans know this stuff is directed at minorities, I think my aunt would get behind this since the lockdown allegedly made all of the "black and brown kids" impossible to teach (it couldn't be that she forgot something in that time period of course, or that she only wants to teach rich children and resents redistricting).
Currently the US left is backpedaling on police abolition after considering only the maximalist, colonialism-blind positions. I worry that the only people to seriously oppose this will be parents forced to create their own teaching networks, that they will not be treated like Tiktok crystal moms letting devices "homeschool" their children, that real organized community schooling will be treated like the Black Panthers.
If this gets wider press, I expect to hear about how "based" it is, to see people laughing at videos of it in use. Statistics about schools in poor neighborhoods will be presented as proof of barbarity innate to those wrung out by a malignant system. Nobody will buy it, but they'll see bots agreeing and complain about that. Then they'll go to work.

Agreed 100%. This is just another tool in the toolbox of the Youth Control Complex that grinds our children into criminalized for-profit prison fodder and makes them targets for police to hunt for sport. The school to prison pipeline needs to end.

JFC. I would think the parents of said students would shut this down.
