People downvoting you probably didn't grow up in a place with Corvids everywhere.
Especially jays of any type. Those bastards can be real insistent bastards, haha.
Though this spring I had a mental Robin that apparently just couldnt get laid. He was like a drunk college bro at bar closing time. He just wouldn't shut up. And he sat on a wire right outside my door.
Annoying, but also entertaining. I'm guessing he finally got the chick with the glasses because I haven't heard him for a while.
I don't think you can prevent wild animals from communicating with each other vocally, but there might be ways to dampen sound more in your house. Check for cracks and seal them, maybe hang up some thick wall hangings?Just off the top of my head. A white noise generator also might help to make outdoor sounds less noticeable.

It is weird I agree, the Guardian staff must be having a stroke.

I think that "having a stroke" is SOP for the Guardian, haha

HAHA! So true, too true.
Well its good news the younger generation is getting into the hobby regardless of the coke fueled spastic title the Guardian made :)

You get woken up by the dawn chorus too, huh.
Close the window.
