Been a fan for decades but finally started to listening to their albums one by one. I can't believe I used to think Fear Satan was their best track. I mean, it's a great song but some of their others (Scotland's Shame, Remurdered, Dial/Revenge, Take Me Somewhere Nice for example) blow it out of the water.
Faetooth have quickly overtaken Blackwater Holylight as my main fixation this last week.
In general, I think this Doom Metal x Shoegaze type stuff is the genre that I've been looking for forever. It's definitely been my sound of the year so far. But Faetooth's "Fairy-Doom" is my favourite now I think.
And for some extra sprinkles on top, read a pretty nice article on them last night where I found out the guitarist and drummer use they/them pronouns and the bassist uses she/they. Which now just makes it feel like it was meant to be that I was so immediately drawn into this band.
