Why is the joke huawei when it's Israel and western powers that do this shit? China just sends a cop to visit your family (whereever they are) and talk about how they're concerned about you.
Personally I find that to be a very disturbing outcome. That isn't what happened to Xu Xiaodong but then again he didn't even criticize his country in a meaningful way before the government began exploding his life. But I did try to give Israel a shootout in the title for that pager stunt they pulled in 2024. If I find or make a good meme about the Natanz nuclear sabotage or something similar I'll tag you.

I call china like I see it, good and bad. They have a massive freaky police state. I do think sending cops extrajudicially is better than sending bombs extrajudicially but one hopes the standard is higher than a limbo bar in hell.
That's unfortunate, looking at the country with any nuance makes you simultaneously the "literal nazi" and also a tankie to specific online individuals. I respect that though.
