Yours truly

With DHH already being problematic, the moral foundation for the rest of the distribution's financing seems dubious at best.

as I said in the otehr thread, if these pricks want to throw money at linux, why not just lob it at arch?

Solemarc@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 3d (3 replies)

Because arch is too hard!

In reallity, I remember back when omarchy released a thing that kept coming up was that "the install process took a minute or two" which, is pretty cool.

I also have a completely baseless belief that Omarchy is also probably the biggest distro with a tiling WM by default.

But I'm just another standard arch neckbeard, I don't really know or care about Omarchy.

@Solemarc @Skullgrid "arch is hard" is an alias for "I don't want to take some time learning something new and cool"

Look, I agree with you.

But what we've learned over the past 2 or 3 years is that people are not willing to learn new things.

@eudaemon@mathstodon.xyz I mean... I am one of the dumbest to install linux but archinstall is sometimes easier than the fucking GUItastic fedora installer.

Also non-de WM OSGUIs are basically Gnome3 for neckbeards, but that's a bit more of a hot take.
