That is so evil. We really want "our" prisons to be run by the state. To be in the jurisdiction of our courts. To be staffed by people employed by our state, who can be held accountable for bad actions. We want our prisoners to be somewhere near their family and friends so that they can be visited.

I really hope these deals will be with other governments and not with private companies. Too much has already been privatised and time and time again they increase their profit by delivering a shittier service or product.

One problem I can see is that this can promote cooperation between the crime organizations in the two countries. You send Swedish criminals to Estonia on an accidental cultural exchange program with Estonian criminals. That's gotta create some issues once they are let out again.
