Nice experiment if all stories were created equal. Some people will need a book to describe something that someone else can describe in two lines. Also, some people never need a dictionary for anything where as someone else might only understand a few thousand words. I'd be interested in the data from the experiment, but it will be really hard to come up with something verifiable.
The reason they target that already burning building is because the first impact likely attracted people offering help, like firefighters and rescue workers. Double tapping, as the practice is called, is considered a war crimes when it does not target combatants. Ukraine acts as a strategy, Russia acts out of spite.
They should also fight for their choice. Unfortunately that doesn't seem to be based on morals and principles. I do see where you're coming from. But anything that leads to people not voting at all could have very shitty consequences.
In Dutch we have a distinction between homeless and 'roofless', the latter being the general name for anyone sleeping outside or in a shelter. Whereas the first is used as a euphenism for anyone unhoused but has not been living on the street for multiple years. It's a different distinction, but just as imperfect imo; since you don't have 2 but 3 groups:
The not in the system but not on the streets (yet), sleeping in their car or moving from couch to couch,
The not sleeping on the street because the system is taking care of them (whether that system is functional or not, at least they're not in the cold),
The ones surviving outdoors, voluntary or not.
In the Netherlands we decided foreigners who come to do cheap labour can get housed by their employer, when they lose their job they lose their house. We also decided the system should not let foreigners in. We also decided the system is only for addicts and people with mental health issues. Maybe in other places with other rules these three groups are less distinctly divided, but either way: all three groups deserve a name that is not demeaning nor dismissive. You'll probably agree.
If everyone would do blue no matter who that might be a united force. Biden was imo not a good alternative for Trump, but he clearly was the better option. Fight for your first choice obviously, but also for your second and third one after your favourite doesn't make it to 'the next round'.
If >95% of the people are vaxed it's not problem someone comes in unvaxed. Probably there is also a number on the opposite end, where coming in unvaxed is very dangerous for that person.
Tldr; nimby is the real enemy.
