i bet sachs is right about the western stagnation route; but it'll take a form like the diminished french empire -- where the west will still retain control for significant chunks of the global south in latin america and africa for centuries, like the french are doing.

I think this a self reinforcing phenomenon myself. You need a material base to subjugate the rest of the world, and western material base has been severely eroded at this point. This is what I think is happening https://dialecticaldispatches.substack.com/p/the-global-south-holds-the-means
