Why not? It's a chill gig. You still get paid and can go back to setting the music when the requests die down.

If I am going to a club because I like a DJs style, I trust them to know better than drunk Joe who wants to listen to Gasolina for the third time that night. Plus some songs absolutely ruin the flow/tonality. It's kind of rude to be asking for songs all the time. Most DJs are open to suggestions, especially if you actually gave them some thought, but they're not a jukebox.
