It's effectively just a seven-number PIN, only with constellation glyphs instead of numbers and a fancy graphic of a DHD in place of the normal 10-digit numpad. I assume an experienced developer could mock up an actual lockscreen app like this pretty quickly.
How else was Sam able to get reception 28 floors down within a mountain when Pete was trying to call her? Meanwhile, Martin got poor reception in the same room because he was just a visitor and his phone had not been configured to use the repeater.
The time on the clock there is also a deep cut reference. One that I would definitely not pick up on, even if someone told me it was a reference. Though it's not as clever or fun as the 38 reference. Hint: https://www.rdanderson.com/stargate/glyphs/index.htm

You probably have the point of origin wrong, what planet are you on?

The one designated by a little pyramid with two funny neat little guys and a funny little line coming out of the top.

Well considering each point of origin is unique to each DHD, I'd say they are on Earth.

That would actually be a cool unlock option instead of the pattern.

As long as it did the sounds as well. Kawoosh included.

Just keep it away from your face when you lock on the seventh symbol

I thought it was hilarious! I think "38 minutes to try again" would have been even better!
I always got the feeling Martin had great signal, but the other producers and executives didn't like him.
Besides, you don't think Sam is going to modify her phone for boosting the signal?
