I'm going to be pedantic here. First, Simba didn't know Scar was trying to kill him or that Scar killed Mufassa. Second, he didn't tell Timon and Pumbaa that his father died. Timon and Pumbaa were a little dickish telling him not to worry without first finding out what his problem was, but they did not have full context
