Because living is more expensive now than before. In medieval times, you had a 30m² wooden house on your farm that you probably built yourself, no heater, no car, no brand clothes, no washing machine, no electricity at all, no water pipes, etc.
Because when you work on a farm for yourself, you keep 100% of your work. When you work for a company, it keeps most of your work for itself and gives you some compensation in return that depends on a combination of "how much do you need for living" and "how easily could you find another job".
Im from Germany and Im quite shocked right now that there are people who dont know him. I was under the impression he was famous all around the world, kind of like Michael Jackson or Elvis. I think if you ask 100 random people in Germany at least 90 will know him.
I have found a method that works 100% of the time for me. It sounds silly but bear with me. After the hiccup starts, I tell myself "hiccups arent real" or some equivalent phrase, in my inner voice, as convincingly as possible. Like I actually believe it. It stops immediately, before the second hiccup.
I am spreading this method among friends and family, I would say around a third of them report successes, but Im pretty sure not all of them have tried it seriously and some brush it off as bs.
Not as far as Im concerned. This is "corporations add dirt cheap sugar to drinks making people addicted to poison for cents per liter" vs. "there simply is sugar in a pressed fruit". And does it really matter what the motivation is as long as the desired result is the same? Taxing fruit juices just wouldnt make any sense. Theyre not the problem.
Exactly. Thats why I only eat McDonalds
Well of course Big Pharma wants you to get the shots, thats how they steal your money. Wake up sheeple
65°F so 18°C, and thats what you call cold? :D Then yeah, heater without AC will not clear your windshield up.

You cant have high humidity when its cold, doesnt depend on the location.
100% humidity at 0°C is ~20% humidity at 25°, which is pretty dry.
ftfy
