Hey, nothing wrong with a PSL. I’d love to learn to make one at home though. My wife loves them, I enjoy them too, but I like making coffee at home so I’d rather learn to make one myself rather than going to a cafe or Starbucks or whatever.

I use an aero press so when I do make it at home I dump the spices in the mug, then just press the coffee in on top of them. Quick stir in some milk and I'm all set.

I personally love it but at the time I got it I had zero ways of preparing coffee.
It's really not any different from a drip setup or something. Definitely not the "espresso style" they sell it as. It's a very good compact system but I wouldn't bother if you already have a method you like.
I've not messed with their other filter heads or anything either so can't comment there. It makes a basic clean cup which is all I need. And I didn't notice enough of a difference with any of the alternative brew methods (like flipping the whole thing to steep and such). I just add ground, add water (don't even agitate beyond pouring the water), add plunger, let sit like 3 or 4 minutes, then plunge.
I will say my wife now makes the coffee because she enjoys popping the grounds puck off afterwards so I haven't even actually touched it in over a year, lol.

Fair enough. I like the idea of having another coffee toy to play with, but I’ve already got a Hario Switch, espresso machine, two sizes of moka pots, and a french press, so I’m not sure where the AeroPress would fit in.
It’s funny you mention your wife now does the coffee, my situation is exactly opposite. She was originally the one into coffee, now that I’m more into it than her she gets me to make coffee for both of us because she says I make better coffee, at least for pour over. I think she does a better espresso and certainly a better latte than me. I think pour over is the first time we both agree I’m better than her at something, she’s one of those people that’s just naturally good at everything she does. I’m very jealous of that.

Honestly I can't tell the difference between my aero press and most French press brews aside from a little more silt in the French press. Flavor wise they're so close.
My wife doesn't even drink coffee, just tea, and she says I make the better tea. I enjoy being lazy though lol

I do also have a mug with a frog on the outside, hanging out on the handle. It’s at my parents’ house though, I left it there so I had a mug when I visit. I’m considering taking it back though, I miss that mug.

When I was a kid, I had a plastic mug that was shaped like a frog, with the opening being the frog's back. It was a character from a show I've never watched, but my grand saw it at the shop and like it lol I drank all my juice from that thing, because she bought it for me. At some point I'd lost it. So, yeah, I would totally take the frog mug back if I were you haha

I forgot to add it to the post but the coffee was Hatch Supernova again today, done in the Hario Switch. I tried something a little different today and it didn’t quite work out as well, I was a little disappointed, but it wasn’t bad by any means. I just know the beans are capable of a much better cup.

Those are gorgeous! I see why you like them. I’ll be honest, I’m still definitely a pottery-only guy, but I’d look at those for a good long while at a store before grabbing a pottery one instead. Very neat.
