Begging for ability to rest.

I have a myofascial injury that is getting to overwhelming pain, and I'm suspect I won't be able to recover and will die if I don't have access to rest soon. My life-partner has been actively angry toward me because he hasn't gotten sufficient food, and is refusing to stop when I calmly request him to. I don't want to consent begging for food for him currently because here's ambiguity he's trying to kill me. I'm begging for ability to rest, and for my life-partner to refrain from wanting to harm me.

Go to the ER. You need to be evaluated. They can do so in a way that's in line with religious practices. You absolutely need to go now. You are right that your life might depend on it. Tell them about your injury and your other experiences that are complicating your situation that you've already shared on the fediverse, such as problems with the local police assisting abusive family members in addition to your problems with your significant other. The staff there can help you and keep you safe while you rest and heal.

Reading through some of their posts, this is clearly a person in need of serious psychological help.

Gaslighting often correlates with violence toward me.

Sometimes I need to support myself.

You're demonstrating the pattern of a help-rejecting complainer. Your posts are full of people offering you real good intentioned advice, but you're locked in monotropic thought patterns. Once you come to a conclusion, you have a very hard time walking away from it. You end up rejecting every single piece of advice given to you for one strained reason or another.

In your Buddhist discussions you were looking for a specific type of teacher, as you were thoroughly convinced that's what you need. When people pointed out your writings demonstrate a profound misunderstanding of Buddhism, you dismissed these good people out of hand.

In other discussions you mention serious medical issues, and you dismiss advice to go to the hospital. You state a single local hospital is "committing genocide", and you completely dismiss the good pair who are trying to help you and are telling you that this is a clear sign of delusional thinking. The very concept of genocide doesn't even make any sense at the level of a hospital, but that doesn't matter to you.

And now here, I want to help you, but you accuse me of gaslighting you, demonstrating that you have no idea what that word even means. I have no reason to gaslight you. I have nothing to gain by doing so. And I have a feeling I am not the first person to tell you that you are suffering from clearly deluded thinking. I suspect you have a pattern of dismissing mental health warnings as gaslighting.

You are not going to get better because you do not want to get better. You want to vent about your struggles, but you don't actually want any help solving them. You are, in psychological terms, a help-rejecting complainer. You will not get better, because you do you want to get better.

Sorry for the tough love, but it's what you need to hear.

This is hyperbole. I do try out some advice, and others I don't.

In your Buddhist discussions you were looking for a specific type of teacher, as you were thoroughly convinced that’s what you need. When people pointed out your writings demonstrate a profound misunderstanding of Buddhism, you dismissed these good people out of hand.

I'm open for an arahant teacher, which are those who have reached full enlightenment. I still don't see a profound misunderstanding I'm having of Buddhism.

Yes, I don't think a hospital is suited to help with the medical issue I have. I have heard rumors that hospitals are committing genocide.

And now here, I want to help you, but you accuse me of gaslighting you, demonstrating that you have no idea what that word even means.

People use 'psychological help' as a justification toward violence toward me. I don't see it being taken seriously that I'm being assaulted, stolen from, & so forth.

I strive continuously for what's beneficial.

I don't believe a hospital is able to provide access to basic rest for me to heal the injury. I need to be able to have access to walking, laying, & yoga postures for it to heal. It also isn't unusual for people to be angry & molesting toward me, and I don't think hospitals are able to prevent this or are prepared for it. I've also been warned that some hospitals are committing genocide in the local area, which is another reason I'm hesitant to try taking refuge at one.

I don't blame you for your hesitation, but you need to go. It is the best chance you have right now.

My life-partner & I got access to food this morning. His anger subsided, and I'm also able to remain outside the shower. Cannabis is also helpful with the myofascial injury, and is medical for this reason here. I still don't see what an ER is offering that is going to assist with the injury, because I need to e.g. do yoga throughout the day. A doctor agreed that yoga could help with the injury when I asked.

What good has posting here done? You can do yoga at the hospital, or literally anywhere, but you require a supportive environment and access to assistive services in your current state. If you don't chose to go, you will eventually be taken there, because the way you are living and dealing with your injury is not sustainable, so you might as well choose your own time to go to the ER.

The emergency aspect of the injury subsided once I got some food and had some energy to do basic self-massage & mudras. I'm still in severe pain, though I'm confident possible for me to rest in solitude better than I think a hospital can provide. I haven't heard before of a hospital offering something like an extended stay to be able to rest and do yoga. Based on some experience, strife may follow me even if I'm in a hospital.

*Update - my life-partner's enraged again. He used the n-word toward me again as a racial slur. It isn't safe currently. I'm needing to be prepared to run for the front door qua escape every time he leaves the bedroom. Being able to state what's happening here is important to my safety.

*Now he's in a calmer loving-kind mood again. He has schizoaffective PTSD, and it can be volatile like this particularly during food insecurity : (.

Your partner doesn't know how to feed themselves?

beumuth@lemmy.world · 0 pts · 5d (1 reply)

He is able to feed himself, though the past couple days hasn't had sufficient access to food and has been unable to refrain from harmful intentions toward me. I've been requesting him to refrain from harmful intentions toward me, and he says he's currently unable to.

Are you guys in a war torn country? And where do you live that harming the spouse is OK?

beumuth@lemmy.world · 0 pts · 5d

I've slept in the shower several hours the past day, and basically need to stay in there because the severity of myofascial pain. My life-partner & I are going through hunger too, e.g. it's challenging for me to stand.

Today, we're sort of out of food again. I'm having difficulty standing currently and need to stay in the shower again.
