Its how I quit after smoking for nearly two decades. And I quit the vape ~3 years ago. My wife had her last cigarette over a year ago, and has dropped to the lowest nicotine level on her vape.
When people try to ban vapes or ban flavors, I lose my fucking mind. I hated smoking, but I would not have been able to quit without vaping. Without the much more pleasant experience and flavors of vaping. I tried all the other things, gum, patches, wellbutrin...
Vape actually works of you want to quit. And even if you don't, it's still magnitudes healthier than cigarettes.
I smoked for 25 years.
I've been vaping a little over a year now.
I tried vaping around ten years ago too.
Back when it was all coils and whatnot and the vapes broke every month or so.
So I went back to smoking because it was less of a hassle.
I've tried quitting cold turkey, with gum, patches,...
Vaping is by far the easiest since it takes the habitual into account.
I can say without a doubt in my mind from personal experience that vaping is most definitely a lot less worse for your health.
No one should ever start using nicotine! Just like heroin, just don't do it. Not even once.
I don't understand why regulators, in almost all countries, fucked up so terribly with vaping.
They should have been sold in pharmacies only.
Now they want to take away something that helps people to quit smoking. Because of a health crisis they created.
The paper only ever uses the term "quit smoking" without defining it. Replacing a smoking habit with a vaping habit is useful harm reduction but it is not quitting.
