Suggestion: search to Pick the language of the past

I like to pick the language of the post because I assume that helps lemmy to sort posts and suggest the correct language to uses.

Every time I have to scroll so a search bar is my suggestion and picking your favorite languages if you are multi lingual.

The favorite languages should be not limited to a limited number.

I agree, I also try to set the language each time I comment or post. What would be nice would be :

to have a default selection based on the post language you are answering to or the language set by the community you're posting on
and to show last selected languages first in the drop down list

It's frustrating to scroll a huge list of languages each time I create a post.

There's a related bug. When you edit a post, summit goes back to "unspecified" instead of loading the language set while creating the post.

Huge coincidence but a lot of the requests here are being implemented in the next release. Hope next release will resolve most of the issues brought up in this post/comments.
