Between all major publishers phasing out physical media slowly but surely and the horrendously high prices for consoles and games, I don't see myself buying an entire console for a game I'm not even really interested in. Are you guys buying it? And are you buying the console for the game or do you already have it?

Depends on the reviews. I'm not really looking for a multiplayer experience at the moment, but I'm not so vehemently opposed I can't be convinced by a truly exceptional game. But I am not tempted from what I've seen so far.

I did in 2017 when the Switch came out for Zelda. But I was also young and spent my money rather recklessly. Don't regret it necessarily, though

I guess it boils down to cost of system and overall investment with a game. Can't say I'd do the same, but I know there are people who buy consoles to play 1 sports game or racing game, and will sink way more hours into that than I will cumulatively over dozens of games I own. Or for MMOs/live service games like ESO, Final Fantasy 14, or Genshin Impact where you just get a constant stream of new things to do.

I have a Switch 2 because I have a bunch of shmups that can be hard to find on other systems. I got a deal on it because I had store credit where I bought it, and traded in my OG Switch.
Multiplayer focused games don't interest me at all (I didn't get Nightreign either). I'm like 80% towards not buying.
