Tangentially related, but I have heard that the tie-in games from the AVP films are genuinely good games. Enjoyable to play and definitely better than the films.
The first (I think?) Alien vs Predator game on the PC was fucking amazing! Especially the multiplayer where everyone could be a different species, e.g. you could have Aliens, Predators and Marines all fighting each other.
Was also the first game on PC that gave all species different views and ways to play. Running the walls as an Alien with what is basically a wallhack view, was pretty cool. Cycling through the view modes as invisible Predator was cool as well. Marines were a bit boring, but only because they played like all other shooters would.
the film came out well after the game series started. There were a couple of beat em ups and then in 1999 the first FPS came out and it was fucking great. And then in 2002 prime Monolith made it look easy with their Aliens Versus Predator 2 which is god tier - ultimate representation of Predator and Alien gameplays. So naturally you can't buy this game because we can't have nice things. Still worth checking out by other means.

That's why I specified the games that were the tie-ins with the film. Though it looks like I was a little off with my description; there was just one game across both films, and it was actually released a few years later.
2010 one is technically a remake of Rebellion's other AVP FPS and it is quite a downgrade to it and a travesty compared to an absolute masterpiece that is AVP2 (because prime Monolith doesn't fuck around).

the 1999 one was great but AvP2 by prime Monolith was fucking boss. Especially on hardcore because enemy AI wasn't fucking around.
