Some might call putting stitch markers every ten stitches overkill, but they really do get beginners through so much.

I usually use differently coloured markers to mark the beginning of knit and purl blocks.

I missed the community this was posted in and just saw a post in my feed about counting stitches. My mind immediately went to surgery.

I count in groups of (2/3/4) stitches and push them down the needle once they're counted so I can try to keep track. And this still happens to me!
