I hate to be the bearer of bad news but 90% of the software industry now heavily relies on AI. I was part of a team for a company that was very anti-AI, and they realized they were losing ground to competitors so they implemented essentially mandatory Claude use with tracked usage metrics - literally overnight.
Installed the deb and for some reason file didn't pull any dependencies needed for install. Asked on the forums which packages needed install to run and got this as a response:
To get the shared library, you will need to libqt6multimedia6. I tested and you will need libqt6widgets6, too: sudo apt install libqt6multimedia6 libqt6widgets6. In my opinion the TMOG developer made a shoddy .deb file that didn't include the Qt6 dependencies.
I also tested the appimage available at the developer's site. It crashed Mint the first time I tried to run. I rebooted and tried again, and it ran smoothly, but used 20% of my CPU (a 20-year-old i7), but didn't report that usage. Upon quitting, my screen became corrupted and I had to emergency reboot on tty1. The third time, I had a brief black screen after quitting TMOG and launching a Mint app. Their use of Qt6 doesn't play well in LM 22.3. I will shortly remove this software from my system.
So I'll be giving is a miss but thanks for sharing.

Why would the original creator of task manager need to vibe code? Did they go into a coma and accidentally vibe this? Stupid af.

I haven't watched much of Dave lately. Wonder if he's just jumped on the LLM bandwagon

I hope not, pr at the very least I hope it was made as a joke. The more people that jump on the bandwagon, the harder it will be to stop.

I'd guess they're talking about RHEL's server web UI of the same name.
