Hey all — I've been building Basic Chess, a 3D chess game in Godot 4, and just pushed a batch of visual upgrades: custom piece shaders, a dynamic sky shader with a moving sun, and new wood/stone materials for the board.
It's a passion project and still a work in progress, but it's playable now free download for Windows and Linux.
Would really appreciate anyone giving it a spin and telling me what feels off or what you'd want to see next (AI opponent, online multiplayer, board themes, etc.)

Colors are fixed, screen captures updated and the game re-exported. I feel like an idiot.
