U.S. forces struck Iranian rocket launchers on the Strait of Hormuz in the first military action in a month on Sunday, according to a U.S. official, breaking a lull in fighting during an intermittent war that has lasted more than six months.
Forces with the Revolutionary Guard Corps were observed preparing to launch rockets with sea mines into the strait, according to the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to detail sensitive military movements.
The U.S. military last week completed clearing sea mines from the strait’s international shipping routes.

Taking out the gulf monarchies might be a proper response for Iran. Serious, Saudis and the UAE, I would spare the quataris perhaps.
If I was Iran, I would kill the monarchs.

US is doing full withdrawal from Iraq this September. Kuwait can be very vulnerable to invasion from any cooperation with Iran. GCC monarchies devotion to US/Israel is about preventing coups, but even when people hate the relationship, the real threat is a familly member getting funding to control the army. Killing a monarch doesn't change succession/alliances any more than killing Ayatolah does/did.
Iran/China talk is more about "recognizing your real enemy" long term path to peace in the region.

They can't stop Iran from shutting the straits. We all told them that, and everyone seemingly listened, until this fucking guy. I totally called it by the way. Back in like the Bush years.
