the last automatic car wash I went through removed my grill emblem and left big streaks of tiny black spots all over the white paint on the hood, roof, and trunk. and they wouldn't even refund me the $6. my insurance refused to do anything about it

Last time I went to a car wash, they were pushing the subscription shit, sure, but it was still easily possible to just do a one time wash.

Not like I do it often, though really. Most of my cars get washed exactly once: right before I sell them.

Meanwhile my self service car wash in RO is $2 per wash ($0.5 per coin which you get I think 2 minutes of pressure washing from)
