The kind where they are bitter rivals both chasing college valedictorian and also hate each other for being from different social classes (one's a legacy and a real merciless piece of work, the other's full scholarship).
Reading The Lord of the Rings. At times with extra chocolate.
There is something specifically about The Lord of the Rings that is very comforting. The writing is dry, emotions are displayed through actions more than words, many characters are very positive overall, while most having reasonable flaws too⦠it feels like wrapping myself in a blanket of words describing a fantasy that really could be.
That is an awesome suggestion. I actually watched the entire extended recently while I did some things to get through those things with a little less boredom. I will have watch them again soon! Ty!!
My mother is a good mother, but she is an atrociously disgusting person incapable of empathy or care for anyone outside of her circle. I don't know how to reconcile that.
People we knew and enjoyed the company of were just picked up by ICE and she is celebrating that.

What are ya'll's go to comfort moves when life gets you down? What cheers you up?
For me, it's creating something. Channeling negativity into positivity. But creativity isn't always viable. The muse is fickle.
What sparks joy for you?

I am tired of stumbling into communities that openly allow fantasizing about murdering women and children.
