What makes you think the cop would actually feel bad about shooting his girlfriend?

After you shoot them, you can't beat them anymore :(

I mean... you can

lobut@lemmy.ca · 7 pts · 8d

I just assumed crying helps them get off.

80% of US cops do not deserve having a significant other (they just would abuse them anyways), and the other 20% deserve living in the most "dead bedroom"-situation possible while getting cheated on in the open because they do not speak up against the others. The amount of cops which are ok are a rounding error not reaching 1% in my opinion.

The ok cops don't stick around or get pushed out. The only ok cop I know lasted about 8 months on the force before deciding it was all rotten to the core. He's a firefighter now.

"pies" (polish for dog) is a slur for cops in poland

celeste@feddit.org · 5 pts · 8d

I was also told polish people bark to warn each other of cops around

DeLancre@piefed.social · 3 pts · 8d (1 reply)

Same in russia. Alto, any slur also works.

And as authentic thing, they are also called there "pharaohs" (faraons) for some odd reason.

rambling_lunatic@sh.itjust.works · 3 pts · 8d

Usually I hear "trash" (мусор)

davidagain@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 8d (8 replies)

I don't get it. Can anyone explain?

Wildmimic@anarchist.nexus · 36 pts · 8d (4 replies)

US cops are notorious for killing the dogs of civilians "to protect themselves" on the regular - in reality they just love shooting living things.

lost_faith@lemmy.ca · 7 pts · 8d (2 replies)

Not just US cops

Wildmimic@anarchist.nexus · 8 pts · 8d (1 reply)

They are the only cops in the western world i know of who are known for this specific behavior with nearly daily occurrence. I can't rule out that there are other countries where this happens, but i am sure that the US cops lead that statistic by a mile.

lost_faith@lemmy.ca · 4 pts · 8d

I'll grant you that. Our cops in Hull, Quebec had a habit of that, to the point where people would go up to them and ask with a sad tone if they had seen a dog around.

no D:

poor doggies :((

punkhazard@feddit.org · 24 pts · 8d (1 reply)

Just guessing: because cops regularly shoot dogs when entering homes of suspects?

TribblesBestFriend@startrek.website · 9 pts · 8d

Yeah. US cops shoot dog at an alarming rate and their excuse for it would be laughable if they weren’t fucking sad.

The others are probably correct, but this is what immediately came to my mind. https://www.404media.co/florida-deputy-of-the-year-used-flock-to-stalk-ex-held-gun-in-her-mouth-did-a-nazi-salute/
