It took me a bit to detox from reddit but now I am grateful they took away my app and pushed me out.
Lemmy is my favorite social media for general purpose community discussion. I use web forums for some niche pass times of mine that don't have an audience here.
I'm happy here and hope you feel welcomed and enjoy your time here.

RSS helps avoiding part of the BS those "2010's platforms" put the users through, like curating what you follow, having access to shadowbanned users and groups, and redundancy in case those you follow get banned, "mysteriously" gone from a given platform, the platform becomes unreachable, etc.
