They'll probably just patch the crack with ivermectin paste or something, but they're so close to realizing the grift, it's actually infuriating.

Ummm...except that all those "federal deregulatory efforts" mean they don't have to do any of that in order to build them. So they won't, of course. Why would they, when you've already given them the free-reign to do whatever they want?

What data centers are net energy negative? Maybe if they designed the building inefficiently large and then placed solar panels on the roof... Maybe. But I haven't seen any articles or papers or evidence of such a data center. Maybe some have on premise energy generators like natural gas but they are inherently less efficient than the state/federal/municipality ran ones which operate on a larger scale and enjoy the benefits of doing such.

These are outrageous statements. They try to exaggerate the power of the underlying technology to get us to focus our attention on science fictional scenarios over the real harms of how AI is being deployed. But few of them shook me as deeply as a statement from OpenAI CEO Sam Altman at Blackrock’s US Infrastructure Summit in March.

“We see a future where intelligence is a utility, like electricity or water, and people buy it from us on a meter,” said Altman, laying out an intensely dystopian future as just another business development. “One of the most important things in the future is that we make intelligence, to borrow an old phrase from the energy industry that didn’t quite work, ‘Too cheap to meter.’”

How exactly are mutual funds the problem here? Red states banned local/state government funds from investing via BlackRock because it was considered too woke since they have a vested interest in the country lasting more than one quarter.

Because it never has, it never will. Ballots are how you genocided the indigenous. Ballots is how you enslaved. I grow tired of countering your disinformation that you ever had a democracy, when it only suits slavers.

The people who want you to not vote are the same people who want to take away the right to vote entirely.

If this was true, the people that create ballots wouldn't campaign to demand people to go to voting booths. Instead voting would take decades to get everyone to vote. Yet you still ignore the people that can't make it to your booths.
Let us know when the incarcerated can vote, the indigenous, the enslaved, the children, and the migrants.
If you don't see the hypocrisy of ableing a class of tailored individuals only the right to vote, you have no say on what democracy is.
