Threw a bunch of super wet wood in it at the “end” hoping to dampen it down to go to bed. Instead the wood almost instantly dried and caught fire. I reluctantly sighed that I was going to have to babysit it for a little while longer and cracked another beer. My wife will probably be mad at me for staying up too late and being tired tomorrow morning.

Usually we had drained enough beers to pee an end to it. Then again ..... that was camping in the woods, not in the backyard.
You had no choice but to pour a heavy smoked whisky (t.ex. Laphroaig) and wait it out.
